About the Author:
Corporate lawyer, scientist, researcher, photographer, painter, actress and mixed media artist. Dr Joanna Ewa Maria Bac holds PhD in Legal Informatics from the University of Aberdeen, School of Law. Her research concentrates on granting legal personhood to artificial intelligence and her research interests involve: ethics of AI, neuroscience, AI Consciousness & sentience, human-robotic interaction, autonomous systems (with particular focus on the specific features of autonomous agents that raise liability concerns), company law, corporate legal form (limited liability, separate corporate personality), intellectual property (patent law), game theory, politics and charismatic leadership.
As an artist she buoyantly captures the nuances of daily life. A surprising combination of Mondrian's geometric formalism and John Baldessari's pop culture fluency. Reds, and yellows intensify her prints, and the vivid reverberation of images creates a powerful effect. Jo achieves art's ultimate purpose: to intensify the emotional vitality of daily life.
In addition, Jo holds degree in Disruptive Innovation from Harvard University, LL.M in International Business Law from Anglia Ruskin University, MA in International Relations from Gdansk University, MRes in Political Science from Aberdeen University and MA in Drama from PWST National Academy of Theatre Arts.
